Good morning everyone! I hope you are having a great day so far and that you got enough sleep last night, unlike me.
There are a couple of things I have to tell you that I think are important for you to know as you read the stories. First of all, I want to thank ALL of you for reading. I know many of you are subscribers and others are reading without subscribing and I’m just happy that anyone is reading at all.
Next, some of you know that my dad passed away in February. Interestingly enough, I couldn’t have written this blog with him still alive because he wouldn’t be comfortable with all the stuff I am going to write about regarding the business and my family. He would not want everyone to know personal things, and he was very protective of the business and the families he worked with.
But I’m not, so that’s the good news. However, if I weren’t talking about my family, he would love it.
My mom, on the other hand, is reading the blog every day and I’ve already been scolded for using the “F” word and making dirty connotations. My mom believes that I “can express myself more intelligently.” But I really can’t.
One problem is that my mom absolutely hates the “F” word, and I happen to love it. I think it’s one of the best words in the English language because it’s so versatile. Because I know she’s reading, I try and keep the “F” word to a minimum, as I do blow job references and other dirty things. Sometimes when I write, I think “mom’s not gonna like this one,” but I have to be true to my filthy, dirty mouth and mind and write how I speak, but with less “F” words.
And the fact is; it’s their fault that I turned out this way. I think it’s important for parents to know that they screw us up and the way we turn out is because of them 🙂
I’m kidding. I love to joke with my mom about that and she’s good for it. Her bottom line is: “we may have made mistakes, but it’s your problem now,” and I love that attitude. She feels no guilt. She’s happy watching “Wheel of Fortune” and sipping wine. And even though she hates, the “F” word, she loves the blog and is very supportive of me.
I will be doing a near in the future blog about my parents so you can understand a little more about the two nut jobs that raised me 🙂
