Hi readers! I’m a bit early, but Happy New Year!! 2012 has been quite a year for me and for the world. I mean, when Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes marriage “fell apart,” you knew you were in the middle of a big year, and let’s not forget Kristen Stewart cheating on Robert Pattinson. If that doesn’t make it a memorable year, I don’t know what will. Of course, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez breaking up is probably what made it the most memorable year of the century so far, but that’s just because Brad and Angelina haven’t broken up yet. I think that’s when the world will truly come to an end. By the way, what happened there? Why didn’t it end? There’s nothing worse than getting all excited for something, only to be let down. It must be the way the runners up feel in the Miss America pageant.
But the real question is why do I hate Taylor Swift so much? I don’t want to hear another one of her stupid, little break-up songs in 2013, but I guess we can’t avoid that since she’s dating some other dork now. Not that I follow that little slut’s love life, but unfortunately, this is the kind of crap that lands on the front page of Yahoo! Just like Lindsay Lohan being arrested in between lip injections.
In politics, we re-elected a black president and legalized weed and gay marriage in a few more states. Go America, way to be progressive! However, this fiscal cliff they keep talking about is really getting old. “Fiscal cliff” has got to be the last buzz word of 2012.
In sports….ummm….uhhhh….well, this isn’t really my area of expertise, but I can name the hottest quarterbacks in the NFL.
I’ll leave all the sad things that happened this year to the media, they love to obsess over it anyway.
Personally, it’s been a great year for me! It was looking a little rocky in the beginning, but the last six months have been great and some really positive things have happened, and I plan on riding this wave of positivity right into 2013 on my boogie board (I prefer these over surf boards because you can lay down). I want to thank all of you who read and support my literary ramblings. If someone had told me at 10 years old when I was writing weird, little poems that someday people would actually willingly read my stuff just by clicking on a link in their email, I would have said, “Wow, what’s email?” and then I would have been excited once someone explained the internet to me.
Thank you, I love you and wish all of you a very HAPPY 2013!!!
