Dreamers and Immigration

Hey everybody and a happy Monday to you…if there is such a thing.

I recently made a video about DACA, the Dreamers and Immigration, and included a guest, who is also a great friend of mine. Regardless of what your views on immigration are, we need to stop blaming the immigrants when their goal is escaping poor conditions. If you want to blame someone, blame the government who has allowed illegal immigration to go on for years because they have continuously benefited off of the cheap labor for decades.

I don’t promote illegal immigration but I have had the experience of speaking with many immigrants who have come here both legally and illegally and all I can say is; with all our country’s faults, and we have a lot of them right now, we still have a country that  many people want to come to in an attempt to better their lives.  We can’t really fault people for that. Should they do it legally? Of course. But imagine risking your life to leave your country and everything you know, just to feed your family. It’s sad. However, in this video, I make light of the situation and I hope you can see the humor in it.

You can watch the video HERE.

Thanks for reading and watching and have a great day!

About Death To Hollywood

My name is Celeste Donohue and I am a writer/comedian who started this blog to tell stories about my life growing up in a funeral home and my adult life which I have spent in Hollywood, California – hence the name, “Death To Hollywood”. Hopefully, you like to read those kinds of stories. If not, go read something serious and boring.....

I thoroughly enjoyed your video. Your guest was cute and fun to watch!
Oh, and he payed his taxes even when he was illegal…interesting. The government didn’t say anything about that, I bet. Thanks for another great video!!
